Jack graduated from Miami University in 1979, with a Business Degree, and from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1982.  Since that time, he has been in private practice, mainly in the area of litigation.  Jack has been an attorney with Dungan & LeFevre since 1993.

In addition to being a partner with Dungan & LeFevre, Jack is also the Public Defender for Miami County, Ohio, in which capacity he manages the Public Defender office and a staff of four other attorneys.

Jack generally practices in the areas of Criminal Law, Family Law, Estate Planning and General Litigation.  In addition, he has an extensive Collections practice.  Over Jack’s 24 years as a criminal defense attorney, he has represented literally thousands of people charged with crimes ranging from serious felony offenses (murder, kidnaping, rape, vehicular homicide) to DUI and other misdemeanor criminal and traffic offenses.  He has tried dozens of cases to verdict, and has extensive experience working with judges and prosecutors.  Jack is admitted to practice in all of Ohio’s trial courts, both at the State and Federal levels.

Over the years, Jack has been actively involved in the community as well as numerous boards.  He has also been involved in many fundraisers for a great number of projects.  Jack has coached baseball and basketball at the youth level for over 15 years. Jack and his wife, Robyn, have three children.
